Born Into Brothels (2004) @ Netflix
This Oscar-winning documentary is a portrait of several unforgettable children who live in Calcutta's red-light district, where their mothers work as prostitutes. Spurred by the kids' fascination with her camera, Zana Briski, a photographer documenting life in the brothels, decides to teach them photography. As they begin to look at and record their world through new eyes, the kids awaken to their own talents and sense of worth.

I am very impressed with, and moved by your story/movie, as both a photographer and an activist.
Thank you so much for all your efforts, and for sharing. It is obvious that things have not been easy for you kids, and I am pleased to see that there has been such success for your group.
I believe each part of our world has its own positives and negatives. Photography and cinematography are powerful tools which can help us to learn about each other's lives, to feel compassion for each other, and instill a passion for life which spurs us on to create a better future for us all. Through offering unique perspectives of both the positive and negative sides of our lives, we are challenged by the images to think, and feel, and act. It is great to see a project like this in fruition!
I am going to be sharing what I have found through your inspiring movie with others; and I will be reflecting upon what I can contribute to further your same objectives through my own actions. I have posted the photo of all of you, with a brief article, on one of my blogs
